Alex Ely
Founding partner. He is an Enabler at the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment and previously a Senior Policy Advisor leading CABE's work relating to housing and neighbourhoods ranging from research, campaigning and advice. He has spoken extensively on the subject of housing and design quality at national and regional conferences and developer forums and has advised government on a wide range of housing issues.
Previously he was project architect at Pierre d'Avoine Architects for the Slim House- winner of The Daily Mail Concept House 1999 competition, and is a Director of the HangerHouse Company designers of the HangerHouse- winner of The Daily Mail Concept House 2000 competition. He has worked on projects ranging from public spaces, urban masterplans, art galleries and Hong Kong airport. |

Michael Howe,
Founding partner. In addition to building and competition projects for the public and private realm, undertaken for previous offices, his experience includes working with Housing associations on extensive plans for site intensification, through to building key worker housing in London, and was part of the team for the Shoreditch New Deal masterplan.He has worked at the offices of Matthew Lloyd, Zaha Hadid and Patel Taylor
He was previously Diploma co-ordinator for technology and design at the School of Architecture, Greenwich University.
Michael was educated at the University of Westminster, the Royal College of Art: MA Architecture, South Bank University: BA Architecture, Central School of Art: BA Fine Art.
